Picasso With Revolver
Andre Villers met Pablo Picasso in 1953 in Vallauris, France. After Picasso gave Villers his first camera, they began a lifelong friendship and artistic collaboration. Together they experimented with Cubism in photography, proving that the movement need not be confined to painting and drawing.
Pictured is Villiers’s photograph, Picasso with revolver and hat of Gary Cooper, Cannes (1958).
